Oliver Darcy is the Founder of Status, a media-focused platform launched in 2024. Prior to that, he spent over seven years as a Senior Media Reporter at CNN, where he covered the evolving relationship between politics, the press, and digital information. His work appeared across CNN platforms, including the Reliable Sources newsletter and broadcast segments. Before joining CNN, Oliver served as Politics Editor at Business Insider and as Deputy Managing Editor at The Blaze, where he focused on digital strategy and political media coverage. Earlier in his career, he was the Editor of Digital Media at Campus Reform, reporting on waste, fraud, and abuse on college campuses, and overseeing the site’s video and multimedia content. Oliver holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Merced, with a concentration in International Relations and American Politics.
